What are some of your lifetime running goals?:

Run a sub 20 hour 100 mile mountain race, race in a European Skyrunning series, run hut to hut in the Italian Dolomites, keep running mountains and trails until I am too old to still be doing it.

Do you have a claim to fame?:

Once I rode my bike 23 miles to the local ski area with my my skis and gear on my back, I then hiked into the backcountry and skied a little over 10,000 vert, then rode my bike back home with the gear. It was a huge day.

Do you have any vices?:

Trail running, I am seriously addicted to getting my run time, I guess I am also pretty hooked on reading blogs from people who run.

What makes you tick as a runner and in the real world?:

I am a very driven person, each day I get up with the intention of doing better than I did the day before, so far it has worked well for me.

What drives you to run?:

Primarily addiction, but also the love of the mountains and being able to travel efficiently in them.

What is your favorite movie?:

Better Off Dead, A cult 80's film starring John Cusack

Do you have any nicknames? Explain:

Nope, I've been called a lot of things but nothing has stuck.

What's the longest you've gone without sleep? Why?:

28 hours, twice; first time was studying for the first semester of PA school finals, the other was the Bear 100.

If you had to be named after one of the 50 states,
which would it be?:

Idaho, born and raised here and it is where I will always call home.

What did you have for lunch yesterday?:

3 Carne Asada Enchiladas with lots of rice and beans, and Kona Kola Nuun to drink.

If you could hook up a thought monitor to your head,
would you see pictures, hear words or would music be
playing?:

Probably hear NOFX or Offspring blasting and see 20 TV monitors showing all of the different things that I have going on right now.

What really scares you about trail running?:

Running on the trail alone at night, other than that I guess I would be more scared of not being able to trail run than any thing I might encounter out there.

If your life was made into a movie, what would it be called?:

Controlled Chaos or The Fine Line that is Balance.

Where would you live if it could be anywhere in the world?:

1st choice-Teton Valley, Idaho 2nd-The Italian Dolomites

What's your worst encounter on the trail?:

On a hot August run this summer my dog and I came across a guy who had crashed on his motorcycle and was hurt really bad. I was able to help him and eventually we were able to get him on a helicopter to a hospital. I hate seeing people hurt especially in the backcountry. That is by far the worst thing that I have "run" into.
